The Talalla Yoga Retreat runs weekly as an all-inclusive program including your choice of accommodation, 3 meals a day, yoga classes, workshops, meditation sessions, an excursion, a private yoga class, a 60 minute Full Body massage, a Talalla Retreat welcome bag, and a wonderful opportunity to deepen your practice while making friends and connecting with others on the same journey.
Dive into Sri Lanka’s rich culture, deepen your yoga practice, learn about the different aspects of yoga in our workshops, and make new friends during your one-week stay at Talalla Retreat. The yoga retreat runs from Sunday afternoon through Saturday morning. Our seven day, six night yoga package includes daily yoga lessons and workshops with our very experienced yoga teachers in our open air yoga shalas in a very relaxed, tranquil and natural environment. You’ll have scheduled classes and workshops but also plenty of spare time to enjoy relaxing by the pool, learn to surf with one of our surf coaches, swim in the ocean, visit the local village, indulge in a spa treatment, experience one of the local Buddhist temples, and make friends with other yogis on retreat! The yoga retreat package is an all-inclusive package with room and full board including all yoga classes, workshops, one private yoga class, cultural activity, welcome bag and a one hour massage. Yoga Retreat Themes: The Foundation of Our Experience
This retreat is a dedication to deepen your yoga practice. We emphasize a holistic approach to the practice and expand your understanding in a variety of ways. The workshops will focus on yoga philosophy, asana alignment, how to develop a home practice, as a perfect recipe to fall even more in love with yoga.
Weekly Excursion : Elephant Safari – this week, we head to Udawalawe National Park to visit the Sri Lankan wildlife – after we get into our jeep, we take a journey through the park to spot Elephants and other beautiful native animals in their natural habitat.
Sometimes we need to get away to refresh ourselves. This week’s offering focuses on releasing unnecessary stress that builds up. We deepen into the practice to connect back in with ourselves, let go of what no longer serves us, and channel our energy back to what is really important. Join us this week to dedicated time to self care.
Weekly Excursion :

This week, our resident teachers will take you on an inner journey exploring the seven chakras. We will experience our main energy centers as more than just abstract concepts, but try to learn to access them through asana practice, meditation, and special workshops.
Weekly Excursion : Mulkirigala Rock Temple-an ancient Buddhist heritage site over 2,000 years old! On the way back, we stop by Hiriketya Beach to have a fabulous lunch and dip in the pool at Jasper House (Talalla’s beautiful sister property).
On this retreat theme, we connect with the bhutas – the sanskrit word for elements. In Yoga/Ayurveda traditions, the 5 elements are classified as Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether and are considered the building blocks of matter. Weekly Excursion: Local TukTuk Safari is different to nearly all typical tourist tours, showing you places to give you experiences that you may not otherwise discover while on the island, all from the comfort of a refurbished, retro fitted convertible Tuk Tuks. The South Coast Safari’s showcase the endless beaches, untouched coastline and countless palm trees unique to this region of Sri Lanka. “The South Coast” way of life, is a total must see and do when spending time in our tropical paradise.

(1st MAY – 30th NOVEMBER) More than 7 days prior to arrival: no charge. Less than 7 days prior to arrival, loss of 20% deposit. Early departures will be charged 20% of the remaining booking cost. (1st DECEMBER – 30th APRIL) Cancellations during peak period, less than 7 days prior to arrival or No Shows: loss of deposit (20% of booking cost) or one nightʼs accommodation – whichever is greater. Early departures will be charged 20% of the remaining booking cost, except in December and January when early departures will be obligated to pay full remaining booking cost. Please note that refunds can only be processed to the credit card used to make the booking and may take up to 28 days. PLEASE NOTE THAT A 20% DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO BOOK YOUR YOGA RETREAT. THE REMAINING BALANCE IS DUE UPON THE FIRST DAY OF ARRIVAL.
