Talalla Yoga 200hr Yoga Teacher Training

April 7th - 28th, 2025

ABOUT

Have you been curious to deepen your understanding of yoga and understand the wisdom beyond asana? Our dedicated team of Talalla Yoga teachers have curated a learning experience that provides a safe space to delve into the many aspects of Raja yoga.

Through yoga asana (Hatha Vinyasa focused) Vedic philosophy, wisdom of the subtle body and artful connection of the physical form, we invite you to embody the many aspects of yoga in a relatable and digestible way.

We intend for our students to discover yoga not just as a practice but a way of living. It is our duty to assist in the development of safe, knowledgable and well-rounded yoga teachers, to provide awareness, understanding and purpose in the offerings of yoga in this modern day.

Yoga is a lifestyle and stems far beyond the mat, and Talalla Yoga strives to make this way of living become more accessible to everyone.

You do not need any prior training to join Talalla Yoga’s 200hr teacher training. Our training is designed for those aspiring to become a yoga facilitator, and for those wanting to dive deeper into their own practice.

We inspire, care and create an atmosphere of discovery and possibility for all participants and we’re looking forward to sharing our space with you.

YOUR FACILITATORS - Tye Fielding & Skaya Hedstrom

Tye and Skaya's journey began in the serene surroundings of Talalla, Sri Lanka, back in 2018. What started as a serendipitous meeting blossomed into a profound friendship and a powerful professional partnership. Over the years, they have seamlessly combined their unique skills and passions, offering transformative retreats, specialty workshops, and comprehensive training programs that resonate deeply with yoga enthusiasts from all walks of life. With a shared commitment to deepening the practice of yoga, Tye and Skaya inspire each other and their students through their complementary teaching styles and diverse yogic perspectives. Skaya Hedstrom is a master in mythology, sequencing, and Ayurveda, bringing a rich tapestry of ancient wisdom to her classes. Tye, on the other hand, specializes in subtle body studies, mythology, and philosophy, adding layers of depth and insight to the practice. Together, they create a dynamic, engaging, and wholesome approach to yoga that is both relevant and accessible in today's fast-paced world.

Their collaborative efforts have led to the creation of the Talalla Yoga 200-hour YTT (Yoga Teacher Training), which they have refined and improved over the years. This program reflects their shared vision of nurturing aspiring teachers and helping them unlock their full potential. Tye and Skaya are in a constant state of exploration and dialogue, diving deeper into their mutual love for yoga and seeking innovative ways to share their understanding with others. As they travel between Australia and Sri Lanka, Tye and Skaya continue to inspire and uplift their community, guiding students on their personal journeys toward self-discovery and transformation through the practice of yoga. Together, they embody the spirit of collaboration, creativity, and growth, making a lasting impact on the lives of those they touch.

Hear from our previous students….

The course itself is extremely high value for money. Even with the cost of travel etc, I could not speak more highly of this aspect of the training to people. From what was included in the package, to the quality and integrity of the education, to the location, to the little thoughtful additions included like the welcome pack, the free massage, the photo shoot, the cooking class - all the little attention to detail is what I feel separates the Talalla experience from any other training I’ve heard of or come across. Also having 3 teachers that complimented and balanced each other was an incredible demonstration of and highlighted “teach what lights you up”. Teach what you are most passionate about and become skilled at how you teach it. I’m not sure how other trainings operate but this is a real strength of Talalla YTT and one I refer to when people ask me how my training was..”

“It's been such a privilege to enjoy those 26 days with my fellow yogis. I am incredibly  grateful for the community we created (in the blink of an eye) where every person felt like an important piece of the puzzle. And I am especially grateful for our great teachers who created and sustained the safe space of the Talalla-yoga-love-bubble.

It made me brave enough to be more vulnerable and that's the greatest gift you can give. Yes, it's been an exhausting and emotional month, but I am already missing every second of it and I can wholeheartedly recommend the experience to anybody who toys with the idea of doing a YTT.”

Struggling to find the words that actually do this yoga teacher training the praise it deserves. It was one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve had in my life. The wisdom, guidance and knowledge shared by the teachers was truly outstanding. The amount of energy and love that went into creating this training was so clear to see. I think my favourite thing was the genuine care displayed by each of the teachers for every single student.

Throw in one of the most magical resorts I’ve ever stayed in with wonderful staff, delicious food, the best massages and to top it off it’s such unbelievable value for money! And there you have the recipe for a truly magical life changing experience... I cannot recommend this training enough! It will change the way you see the world forever. .”
