Yoga with Martine
I have been a passionate yoga practitioner for over 30 years and consistently teaching for the past 10. Yoga is an embodiment of who I am, and is my way of life!
Originally from France then moving to England in the 70's I began practicing and mastering Hatha yoga and later Vinyasa and Iyenga style. I then moved to Australia and became a student of Rose Baudin who inspired me to take on a more complete and spiritual practice including pranayama and the philosophy of yoga. Rose started teaching overseas and invited me to take over her classes in her absence.
In the year 2000, I decided to deepen my practice and I enrolled at Yoga Arts in Byron Bay, Australia. Here I completed a 9 month full time yoga teacher's training course under the direction of Louisa Sear.
Soon after finishing my teacher training I established my own classes and started teaching in the Mullumbimby area (NSW, Australia). I also take private classes in a resort in the Hinterland of Byron Bay.
My classes are fluid and for all ages and levels. I use a combination of asanas, pranayama, meditation and relaxation. In the past I have run prenatal classes, as well as teaching high school students yoga and meditation.
Being a native French speaker, I recently conducted yoga workshops and intensives in the South of France where people really enjoyed their experience!
For me yoga has become a very strong part of my life that has taught me the strength and openness of the mind. It has changed my way of being!
