We first met at Talalla Retreat proving that great things happen here!
Bonding over our love of yoga and similar ideas on life we kept in touch, eventually embarking on a yogic journey together of both teaching and learning in Bali, Dubai, Greece and now Sri Lanka, one of the worlds most beautiful islands.
Saffron
I grew up with yoga. My Mum is a yoga teacher and from a young age she always emphasised the importance of an asana practice. Mum always encouraged me to explore pranayama and meditation, to always be true to myself in my physical, emotional and spiritual practice and to find this in my students.
I fell in love with yoga very early on and have always taken great satisfaction from working with my students to reach strength and peace in a safe, challenging and fun class environment.
Emily
I have always been interested in the alternative training in areas such as massage and reflexology, before fulfilling a long term dream of training to be a yoga teacher. As well as being a qualified yoga instructor I am also trained in massage, reiki, EFT and Thai yoga massage. I like to use this combination of tools to help people release their blockages and release their potential, to become the best possible versions of themselves.I believe in teaching from the heart and to always find space in our practice to connect with our divine inner light.
As well as following a traditional yoga practice my speciality also lies in SUP Yoga (yoga on a paddle board) which I teach from my own business in Dubai.
Our style is an eclectic approach to hatha yoga based on the Krishnamacharya lineage but also influenced by more modern day yogis such as our teachers Peter Clifford and the inspirational Shiva Rea, resulting in holistic, safe, fluid and dynamic classes for all ages and levels. We have recently completed extra professional training with Shiva Rea and look forward to soon sharing this innovative style with our students. We are delighted that life has made a full circle and is bringing us back to beautiful Talalla and look forward to sharing our passion with you soon!
